Chapter Activities

The members of the Captain Molly Corbin Chapter NSDAR of Grapevine, Texas, have dedicated ourselves to historical preservation, promotion of education, and encouragement of patriotic activities. Our goal is to encourage members to become involved in these initiatives throughout our communities.

 

20th Birthday Celebration

The Captain Molly Corbin Chapter celebrated its 20th Birthday Celebration in 2023!

Library Display

Our members created patriotic displays at the Grapevine Library.

Colonial Dress

Members learn about the fashion of colonial women.

 

Members present the Captain Molly Corbin doll and handmade
colonial dress to the chapter.

 

Members attend the Fort Worth Regent's Council.

Chapter members celebrated America 250!
at a meeting.

Our chapter celebrated the
250th Anniversary of the Navy.

Our chapter presented cookie trays
to the nurses at a local hospital.

 

Grapevine Museum work

We helped the Grapevine Museum by cleaning and
restoring treasures of the past.

 

Benjamin Franklin entertained our chapter
with an interesting presentation.

Members participated in a Naturalization Ceremony.

 

Constitution Week

Our chapter created a Constitution Week Display
at the Grapevine Library.

 

Members took a guided tour at the Grapevine
Botanical Gardens during Pollinator Week.

 

Our nominee is awarded the Mary Smith
Lockwood Founders Medal for Education.

 

Paint with a Twist

Our chapter juniors organized a Paint with a Twist
event where we learned how to paint peacocks.

Our chapter welcomed an Honor Guard
at a Naturalization Ceremony.

 

State Conference

The chapter honored our Junior Members at the Texas
State Conference's Wildflower Luncheon.

Chapter members exchanged ideas at the
State Education Awards Luncheon.

 

A local student was given the DAR Good Citizen Award
for his essay regarding the impact of political
parties on our nation.

 

Our student American History Award winner read her
essay regarding the 19th Amendment to
the US Constitution.

 

The chapter gathers to collect donations for veterans.

 

Recipients of Education Awards were honored at
our yearly dinner.
