Chapter Activities
	DAR Good Citizen Committee:  Coordinate with high school counselors in McAllen to select an outstanding student and implement the scholarship portion of the contest.
	National Defense Committee:  Contact and arrange with ROTC coordinators to prepare for ROTC awards and DAR Good Citizenship Medals awards in the local high schools.
	Project Patriot:  Support the veterans.
	Constitution Week:  Receive the Constitution Week proclamation from the City of McAllen.
	Membership Committee:  Assist new members.
	Support Historical Events: Flag Day Luncheon.
	Supporting State Projects: DAR Plaza of Liberty, Veterans War Memorial of TX
	Supporting State Projects: Member Paula Owen (left), serving as Texas State Vice Regent
	Supporting State Projects: Texas Award NAS Corpus Chrisit
	DAR Magazine and DAR Store Materials:  Encourage members to subscribe to the "American Spirit" magazine; be responsible for the purchase of DAR pins and materials from the DAR store.
