Chapter Projects (Local)
Examples of Jacob's Well Chapter
projects during the past several years include:

Awarded monetary prizes of $100,
$50 and $25 to the first, second, and third place winners as well as
certificates to all participants of the NSDAR's American History Essay
Contest.

Presented a ROTC medal and
certificate to a student in the Hays High School (HCISD) JROTC Marine Unit (10
years) and the Lehman High School JROTC Navy Unit (4 years) in Kyle.

Organized a community effort to
raise money and gifts for soldiers at Fort Sam Houston's Family Assistance
Center in San Antonio, Texas. Items included phone cards, candy, books,
magazines, lap quilts, CDs/DVDs (music and videos), and games.

Scholarship money given to the
Texas State Regent's fund for a Nursing Scholarship at San Angelo State
University.

Awards Tea for Community Service
in the Cities of Wimberley and Woodcreek communities.

Award given to the Good Citizen
winner at Wimberley High School (WISD) in Wimberley, Lehman High, and Hays High
Schools (HCISD) in Kyle/Buda.

Donated books, bookmarks and
read in full colonial dress to children during "Constitutional Week" at the
Village of Wimberley Library, Jacob's Well Elementary in Wimberley, Texas;
Laura B. Negley Elementary in Kyle, Blanco Elementary in Blanco.

Donated books to the local
library in Wimberley.

Regent participated as grand
marshal at the fourth of July VFW No. 6441 Rodeo in Wimberley.

Participated in the fourth of
July parade in Wimberley.

Donated flags for use on fourth
of July, to students at Bowen Middle School (WISD) in Wimberley, and to St.
Stephen's Episcopal School in Wimberley.

Honored a nationally known Texas
historical novelist.
