Tejas Chapter NSDAR is very pleased to offer two cash grants to deserving high school seniors. The criteria for applying for our grants is as follows:

  1. You must be a member of the Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.) or referred to our Scholarship Committee by a member of Tejas Chapter.
  2. You must be a graduating senior from high school, or a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college.
  3. The application form must be filled out completely, including a transcript from your school and a letter of recommendation from someone such as your employer, teacher, counselor, or youth leader.
  4. A 500 word essay must be written on what your future goals are and what your vision is for the future of our country.

The above information should be in our Scholarship Committee's hands by February 15. There will be one grant awarded to a C.A.R. member and one to an applicant recommended by a Tejas member. Should there be no applicant from the C.A.R., then both awards will be granted to the latter category. Once the applicant receives an award, he or she may reapply for a grant for the following year, using the same procedure as outlined in (1) through (4) above. Awards will be presented at the May meeting of Tejas Chapter each year and the winners will be asked to be present. To request the scholarship application or for any questions, please contact the scholarship chairman.

. REMEMBER! The application deadline is February 15. Late applications will NOT be accepted.
