Discover Your Patriot Ancestor

Genealogy is by far one of the most popular hobbies in the United States. Expertise and skill levels vary considerably from novice to professional genealogy gurus. Joining the DAR does not require an interest in genealogy, but it helps to have some knowledge of one's ancestry. At the very least, you will need to gather documents for yourself, your parents, grandparents and possibly great-grandparents.

Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. You must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of your Patriot ancestor.

Junior Membership

Junior members are fully recognized members of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution between the ages of 18 and 35. We are students, professionals, moms and homemakers all sharing a common belief in the perpetuation of the NSDAR motto, God, Home and Country. We serve as pages to the state and National Society, raise funds for the DAR approved schools and other community projects and actively participate as members, committee chairmen, and officers. Come and join us! We are not a generation "waiting on the world to change." We are making a difference every day!
