More Activities

The James Billingsley Chapter, NSDAR creates display cases for the Richardson Public Library each September for Constitution week. These display cases contain printed information and artifacts that relate to the Constitution of the United States.

The chapter collects Coke labels and other proof of purchase symbols that support the NSDAR schools and the NSDAR Indian Schools. Each year the chapter collects gift cards in support of Bacone College.

The chapter cooperates with local school districts to sponsor essay contests, and other activities that support education, history, and patriotism.

The chapter supports an American flag at the Avenue of Flags at the Veterans Hospital in Lancaster, south of Dallas. Books, magazines, and toiletries are taken to local veterans' hospitals monthly.

The chapter is a big supporter of Wreaths Across America for the past couple of years by buying wreaths and attending the wreath laying ceremony in December at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
