About Us Chapter Officers (2018-2020) Kerri Walker, Regent Cross Timbers Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized by Peggy Grover Gentry on April 19, 1993. The name Cross Timbers comes from the unique land form of this area of Texas. Between Dallas and Fort Worth lies a narrow belt of forest stretching north to south between Denton and Arlington. The Greater Lewisville area is almost in the center of this area. In 1993 there were eighteen organizing members and now the chapter boasts nearly one hundred thirty members. Our members range in age from 20 to 99 with fourteen junior members. Even though our chapter is based in the Lewisville area, our members come from several cities in Texas and outside the state including: Argyle, Austin, Bartonville, Bedford, Burleson, Carrollton, Coppell, Copper Canyon, Corinth, Dallas, Denison, Denton, Double Oak, Euless, Flower Mound, Fort Worth, Garland, Hickory Creek, Highland Village, Hudson Oaks, Hurst, Krugerville, Lantana, Lewisville, Mansfield, Manvel, Nazareth, New Boston, North Richland Hills, Plano, Rockwall,San Antonio, and The Colony in Texas; plus Colorado and Oklahoma.
