The Chapter's scholarship fund at Midwestern State University has benefited students
for over 70 years. This Chapter awarded the first scholarship in the
history of the school.
To encourage outstanding students, the Chapter presents annual DAR Good Citizens awards to seniors from the Wichita Falls area high schools, The Chapter also honors top ROTC students. For many years, the Chapter has participated in naturalization services for new citizens, distributing hundreds of copies of the DAR Manual for Good Citizenship. Each year the Chapter cooperates with the Texas State Society DAR in presenting two Military Recognition Awards at Sheppard Air Force Base. |
