Richard Bard
National DAR
Texas DAR

The Richard Bard Chapter was organized in Mesquite, Texas, on April 13, 1985, by organizing regent Maxine Lytle Dodd. The chapter had 35 organizing members including 27 Junior members and 29 new NSDAR members.

We are now 100+ members strong reaching out to local schools with scholarships, ROTC, and DAR Good Citizens. The Richard Bard Chapter participates in many projects and programs that celebrate the three areas that the NSDAR stands for:

  • historic preservation
  • education
  • patriotism
The Richard Bard Chapter meets the second Saturday of each month from October through May (third Saturday in September only). For more information, please contact our Chapter Regent, Lois Buford. Our Registrar, Glenda Moore, can answer your questions about membership.
