The Michael Stoner Chapter National Society Daughters of the
American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) was organized December 7, 1973. The
membership elected to name the chapter for a Revolutionary ancestor of its
organizing Regent, Mrs. Robert E. Sanders Junior (Chili).
Read more about Michael Stoner, his friendship with
Daniel Boone, and his other patriotic service.
Our Chapter activities include:
- Awards for Junior American Citizens - We teach history
through a historical essay contest
- DAR Good Citizens Award
- Support DAR Schools - Tamassee, Kate Duncan Smith, Berry
College, Crossnore , Hindman, and Hillside
- DAR Youth Citizenship Medal - We honor these qualities in

second language, donate books, help students prepare for the GED and mentor
"at-risk" students.
