“Preserving the Past - Our Gift to the Future”

Mary Martin Elmore Scott Chapter celebrated its 100th birthday in 2016.

Our chapter was organized March 16, 1916. Of the sixteen charter members, six were descendants of Mary Martin Elmore Scott, the name chosen for this chapter. On April 24, 1916, the new chapter received its charter.

We have grown from the 16 members to a membership of 124.  Chapter members are active in DAR service at the chapter, state and national level, and also take part in many community activities.

If you have a Revolutionary War patriot, or think you have one, we want to hear from you.  Please e-mail our membership chairman for information. To learn more about the Texas Society DAR and the National Society DAR, you may visit the links at the left.

The Chapter meets the third Tuesday of September, November, January, and April. Contact us for meeting places and times.
