National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

John Hogg, Sr., was a patriot who served from South Carolina. He was the great-grandfather of the twenty-fourth governor of Texas, James Stevens Hogg, who began his political career in Wood County.



Do you have a Revolutionary War ancestor or think you have one? Are you interested in joining an organization dedicated to the spirit of patriotism, the preservation of our nation's history and its heritage, and the promotion of education? Qualifications to join the Daughters of the American Revolution can be obtained from the National DAR website. Prospective members are welcome and we would like to hear from you.
