2020-2021 Chapter Calendar
If you are interested in finding out more about Joanna Troutman Chapter, NSDAR or attending a meeting or event, please feel free to contact us for more information. There are five regular first Sunday of the month in the afternoon chapter meetings, as well as additional gatherings including a November Veterans’ event, a Christmas social, and an end of the year chapter appreciation event. We further the goals of DAR and create a DAR sisterhood of patriotic volunteers through our chapter work, our committee activities, our projects, and our fundraising activities. We can't wait for you to join us!
Unique to our chapter, Afternoon Socials get togethers are held in members’ homes and are reminiscent of our women’s American heritage—sitting on the porch with friends doing domestic chores—as we join together to do chapter-related handwork or discussion—writing cards to our military; stitching, knitting or embroidering for Stitching for Children; packing supplies for the DAR Tamassee School; discussing our latest Joanna’s Club book, or other activities. It is very informal as we relax, work, and enjoy each other's company.
