OUR MISSION | PATRIOTISM | EDUCATION | HISTORIC PRESERVATION HISTORIC PRESERVATION PHOTO GALLERY AMERICAN HISTORY COMMITTEE Members acknowledge the outstanding contributions of individuals throughout our nation's history with preservation efforts, including teaching opportunities, reenactment performances and much more.  HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE The chapter cleans tombstones and surveys cemeteries throughout the community.  AMERICAN HISTORY COMMITTEE Women in American History awards honor outstanding women who make a difference.  AMERICAN INDIANS COMMITTEE The chapter values the history of the indigenous people of our country, the American Indian, and advocates the education of the history and culture of Native Americans.  AMERICAN HERITAGE COMMITTEE Traditional music of days gone by is treasured and appreciated.  HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE We place DAR historical, commemorative and grave markers for Revolutionary War soldiers, patriots, wives, Real Daughters and for DAR members.  HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE We placed a DAR marker at the gravesite of Elizabeth Patton Crockett, the chapter's namesake and the daughter of Revolutionary War soldier, Robert Patton (1736-1832).  AMERICAN HISTORY COMMITTEE We regularly visit American history exhibitions and museums.  HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE The DAR Historic Preservation Recognition Award is presented to individuals who are instrumental in efforts to preserve American and local histories.  AMERICAN HERITAGE COMMITTEE Chapter members participate in the DAR American Heritage Contest in the fields of art and sculpture, crafts, drama and literature, fiber arts and music.  HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE Instructional historic preservation workshops are sponsored by the chapter.  LINEAGE RESEARCH COMMITTEE We host lineage research classes and provide information about genealogy resouces and techniques for compiling family histories.  AMERICAN HISTORY COMMITTEE Members honor important historical figures and highlight their contributions.  HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMITTEE We take an active role in preserving America's history.
