AMERICANISM COMMITTEE Outstanding members of the community are recognized with the DAR Medal of Honor and other awards for their significant contributions. THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA COMMITTEE Residents and businesses in the community are recognized for proper flag etiquette. DAR SERVICE FOR VETERANS COMMITTEE The chapter volunteers at various events and projects to support veterans. DAR SERVICE FOR VETERANS COMMITTEE DAR members organize and support Wreaths Across America ceremonies. DAR PROJECT PATRIOT COMMITTEE Chapter members collect clubs, balls and other golf equipment to send to troops deployed to locations around the globe. DAR PROJECT PATRIOT COMMITTEE We support and thank wounded warriors for their service and sacrifice. THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA COMMITTEE We distribute hand held flags to promote patriotism, love of country and respect for the American flag. NATIONAL DEFENSE COMMITTEE The chapter hosts an ice cream sundae bar party for JROTC cadets each school year. DAR SERVICE FOR VETERANS COMMITTEE We visit airports to welcome veterans returning home on Honor Flights. NATIONAL DEFENSE COMMITTEE We present DAR ROTC Bronze Medals to outstanding JROTC cadets. DAR PROJECT PATRIOT COMMITTEE We attend Armed Forces Bowl games to show support and to distribute flags. DAR PROJECT PATRIOT COMMITTEE Evening gowns and bags, jewelry, wedding dresses and more are donated to lending programs for military spouses and women service members. INSIGNIA COMMITTEE DAR members who are active duty military or veterans have the special honor of wearing the "DAR Serving the Nation" pin. CONSTITUTION WEEK COMMITTEE We commemorate Constitution Week by arranging reenactments, speeches, bell ringing, displays at schools and we host an annual Constitution Camp for kids.
