How to Join

Membership Eligibility

Any woman 18 years or older - regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background - who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible for membership.

You do not have to be a genealogist to join DAR, but you will need to do some research and help provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of your Patriot ancestor. Start with yourself and your immediate family and work your way back.

If you think you need help, no problem! Our chapter members are available to assist with the research and application processes. Just send us an email and we will work together and do all we can to help you join DAR!
