About Us

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer women's service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America's future through better education.

San Jacinto Chapter, NSDAR, chartered in Tomball, Texas, is one of thirteen chapters in the greater Houston area. The chapter meets at various locations in the Tomball/NW Harris County area.

Our Mission

San Jacinto Chapter, NSDAR, promotes the National Society's mission of historic preservation, patriotism, and education through a variety of programs and activities. No matter where your interest lies, there are opportunities to participate. With a membership of over 200 energetic, enthusiastic, and dedicated volunteers, San Jacinto Chapter is a growing, vibrant part of the NW Harris County/Tomball area volunteer community.

Historic Preservation Since the DAR was founded, members have been involved in their communities with a wide variety of historic preservation projects. Membership Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.

If you are working on your family genealogy and believe you are eligible; or if you want to begin to investigate your family past; or if you have a relative who belongs or belonged in the DAR and you are interested in membership; please contact us.
