Organized on September 16, 2017, in Terrell, Texas, with seventy organizing members, The King's Fort Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), takes its name from an early frontier fort of the Republic of Texas that was in Kaufman, Texas.

We are an active chapter offering many activities in which our members can participate. We meet on Saturday morning and generally offer two social events each month. Our chapter offers committee involvement and activities throughout the year that support the DAR mission in the areas of historic preservation, education, and patriotism.
