Welcome to our chapter website!

We hope you will look around our site and get to know us. We are an energetic and friendly group of women who work tirelessly to further the goals of DAR: education, preservation of our heritage, and patriotism. If you are interested in finding out more about Josiah Bartlett Chapter or the DAR, please feel free to email us. We meet on the second Saturday at 10:30 a.m., September through May.

Interested in joining the DAR?

Any woman is eligible for membership in the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution who is no less than 18 years of age and can prove lineal blood line descent from an ancestor, man or woman, who aided in achieving American Independence. Applicants interested in participating in the historical, educational, and patriotic activities of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution are welcome. For more information about membership, visit the National DAR website.

Why join the DAR?

Women join DAR for many reasons. It offers an opportunity to express patriotism through connecting with a Revolutionary War ancestor. It helps us understand the importance of America's proud history. It promotes service to the community and the nation through many types of volunteer activities. It brings fellowship and new friendships. DAR is truly a community.
