  Historic Markers
DAR members work tirelessly to preserve historical locations.
Rita Jackson, Milly Cordes, and Chapter Regent Randa Simmons look at the 1957 DAR marker on Tait house.  In addition, John Everett Chapter has enthusiastically supported the state project to place an obelisk on Cenotaph Hill, at the State Cemetery in Austin, honoring Revolutionary War Patriots buried in Texas.

  Lineage Research
Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.  Honoring our Revolutionary War ancestors by membership in the DAR helps ensure that the records of our great country will be preserved.

Registrar Jennie Muggli helps Anita Spedale with application papers.
