Women's Issues

Family means much to our members. One way to promote this vital part of our society is to take part in activities that provide positive role models for children.

Chapter Regent Randa Simmons is shown presenting gifts from a chapter sponsored "baby shower" to benefit CASA, a child advocacy group.

  Literacy Promotion

DAR members participate in literacy programs for adults and tutoring programs for students preparing for the high school GED.

Vice Regent Fair Wells, on the left, and  Past Regent Laura Ann Rau, on the right, present an award to LTC Retired Judith Johnson for volunteer service to "at risk" children. She runs an after school literacy program.
