The DAR, founded in 1890, is a 188-year-old nonprofit, nonpolitical, worldwide service organization, devoted to historic preservation, education, and patriotic endeavor.

The NSDAR THEME, 2007-2010: “The Spirit of Hospitality Opens Doors of Opportunity.”

THE AMERICAN'S CREED

I believe in the United States of America as a government of the people, by the people, for the people, whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union, one and inseparable, established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.

I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws; to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

~ William Tyler Page ~

Jan 2008 - Members of the General Levi Casey Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Pattie Westerlage, former Regent (left), and Mrs. Paul White, Recording Secretary (right), present a check for $20,000 to Lloyd Dewitt Bockstruck (center), Supervisor of the Genealogy Section of the J. Erik Jonsson Center Library. The donation was made in the continuing effort to expand the collections in the Edith Allen Palmer Microfilm area of the Library. Palmer was a member of the Chapter from 1973 until her death in 1986.
