Cross Timbers Chapter, National Society of The
Daughters of the American Revolution, was organized on April 19, 1993.
ORGANIZING REGENT: Peggy Groover Gentry
CROSS TIMBERS, the name chosen for this new chapter, comes from the
unique landform of this area of Texas. It is made up of a narrow belt of
forest land that lies between Dallas and Fort Worth and stretches north
to south between Denton and Arlington. The Greater Lewisville area is
almost in the center of this area.
There were 18 organizing members.
