DAR INSIGNIA

“Our Emblem is a golden wheel
Banded with deepest blue,
Each shining spoke tipped with a star,
The distaff showing through:
The only jewel in the world
That money cannot buy,
Without such proof of ancestry
As no one can deny.”

The Hub --------------A daughter’s Loyal Heart

Each Spoke----- Thought of Those Who Part

The Rim/Wheel-------------------A Noble Life’s Bright Round

Each Star-- A Deed in Heaven Profound

The Distaff--------A Guide That Points Above

Each Flaxen Thread---A Cord of Love

Our Emblem was designed by Dr. G. B. Goode, and accepted at the first Continental Congress on February 22, 1892.

The DAR Insignia is the property of, and is copyrighted by, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
