Chapter Information

The Aaron Burleson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) meets September through May.  Chapter meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 1:30 p.m. Speakers are invited to cover topics relevant to the culture, traditions, and events that shaped our nation’s history and to inspire patriotism.

We work closely with the librarians in the Genealogy and Local History room, located in the Longview Public Library.  The library has a wealth of materials available to assist you with your search for your patriot.

DAR is a volunteer women’s service organization that honors and preserves the legacy of our patriot ancestors.  As a member of the DAR, you can continue this legacy by actively promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children. Our chapter provides support to local students through scholarships and promoting education and citizenship.
